FIRST, APA style refers to the organization and design of your research paper including margins, line spacing, page numbers, title page and reference page. SECOND, it refers to the standard format for documenting the resources that you used to write your paper. This includes the format for citing your sources in your paper (in-text citations) and at of the end of your paper (the References page). These standards, established by the American Psychological Association are widely accepted in the academic community.
At Gateway Technical College, the APA Writing Style is used by students in nursing, physical therapy assistant, dental assistant, psychology, sociology classes and in some English Composition classes.
