This workshop will demonstrate how to install and use the various text-to-speech tools that are available for Brightspace and for webpages. Once completed, students will be able to access the tools needed for text-to-speech. This will enhance students' comprehension of their course materials and help them to access webpages and pdf/word documents.
As part of their coursework, nursing students must complete a research assignment in which they locate an original research nursing article. This workshop aims to simplify the process for students by demonstrating the best databases to use, how to find citations, and how to understand the parts of an original research article. Searching databases and understanding scholarly articles are important skills that can be used throughout the students' academic career.
Taking nursing program exams can be challenging. By completing this workshop, students will learn how to read the question, figure out what the question is asking, and how to choose the correct answer. These are strategies that can be used throughout all semesters of the nursing program.
