Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Welcome

Hello!

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we learn, work, and create. From generating ideas to improving writing, AI tools can be powerful assistants. But like any tool, they are most effective when used with purpose and critical thinking.

AI Is a Tool, Not a Replacement

AI can assist with brainstorming, summarizing, and refining ideas, but it doesn’t replace your thinking, learning, and creativity. College is about developing your own voice and skills—AI should support, not substitute, your academic work. It is important to know why you’re using it.
Before using AI, consider:
ðŸ”¹ Purpose – Why are you using AI? Is it to enhance your understanding or to avoid thinking through a challenge?
ðŸ”¹ Accuracy – AI-generated content can sound convincing but isn’t always correct. Always verify the information.
ðŸ”¹ Integrity – Gateway Technical College has an Academic Integrity Policy. Misusing AI could have significant consequences.
